Handcrafted jewelry

by Rosalie Pelletier

About

After studying visual arts, it was during my travels in Central and South America that I discovered a true passion for making artisanal jewelry.

As a self-taught jewelry maker, I was strongly influenced by South American aesthetics and techniques, which I learned through my meetings with local artisans. In 2019, I trained at the Faculty of Arts and Design at UNAM, Mexico, where I integrated fine jewelry techniques into my designs. Today, I mainly specialize in the design, creation and manufacturing of unique silver pieces.

Madrugada was born during my last visit to Mexico. On board of my 1988 Toyota Sunrader RV, I installed a first – and tiny! – jewelry studio. Mexico holds a very special place in my heart: its rich culture, its people and its landscapes have inspired me a lot, and continue to inspire the style of my creations.

Although I am a nomad at heart, I officially established my studio in Montreal in February 2021.
